Why we built this
Every year, Canadians leave over $1.7 billion in government benefits unclaimed. Not because they don't qualify — because the system is too complicated, too scattered, and too hard to navigate.
UpPath exists to fix that. We believe every Canadian deserves to know what they qualify for, and to get it without jumping through hoops.
We're not a bank. We're not the government. We're not a charity. We're a tool built by Canadians who believe the system should work for everyone — not just the people who already know how to work the system.
How we make money
UpPath is built and funded by AI for Canadians as a public-benefit project. AI for Canadians is a federally incorporated organization founded by Patrick Farrar, AI Expert-in-Residence at DMZ (Toronto Metropolitan University). Our goal is to connect Canadians with the benefits and resources they're entitled to — and we'll never charge you for that.
